Director of the UA Water Resources Research
Center, compiled public records and current population and water
demand projections to take a new look at whether our trickle of
water can support a continued flood of newcomers. The answer
appears to be yes, with a lot of red flags.
The study was
sponsored by the Marana and Metropolitan Tucson chambers
of commerce, Southern Leadership Council, Tucson Association of
Realtors, Southern Arizona Home Builders Association, and the
Tucson Regional Water Council, the report looked at water supply
and demand, now and for the next 25 years, and made predictions
about whether they will continue to match.
