Rustyn Sherer Sr. Key Account Manager Tucson Electric Power

We know Marana businesses count on reliable energy, and that’s why we work year-round to prepare for summer’s higher energy use and strengthen our equipment to withstand fierce monsoon storms.
We’re proud of our 99.9 percent service reliability. Our goal is to have fewer outages – and to get you back in service faster when an outage does occur.
In 2024, TEP invested more than $250 million in power lines, transformers, electric switches and other transmission and distribution equipment to serve customers in our service area. These infrastructure investments include:
- About $25 million in power lines and systems that deliver service to homes and businesses.
- Another $25 million on significant improvements to area substations.
- About $4 million to replace wood poles with stronger metal poles.
We also continually look ahead at future needs. To serve the growing Marana area, we’re planning to update older, lower-voltage equipment with new, modern energy delivery systems through our Northwest Marana Reliability Project. After extensive public outreach, we’re seeking final approval for this proposed transmission line project, which is expected to be in service in 2028.
As a Key Account Manager, I interact directly with some of the largest customers in the region. I also serve as a liaison with the Marana Chamber of Commerce, which helps me stay informed and make connections with local businesses.
As your trusted energy partner, TEP also provides discounts and incentives on energy-efficient upgrades for your business. Visit tep.com for the latest information or reach out to me as your Marana Chamber liaison. It’s an honor to work alongside you to help power progress for our community.
Sincerely,
